WASTE and Circular Economy Advisers is an advisory firm that specializes in providing expertise and guidance on waste management and circular economy practices. The company was founded in 2015 and is based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. WASTE and Circular Economy Advisers have extensive experience working with government agencies, non-profit organizations, and private sector companies to develop sustainable waste management solutions. We provide a range of services including policy development, program design and implementation, capacity building, and stakeholder engagement. Our aim is to promote a circular economy where waste is minimized and resources are used in a more sustainable and efficient manner. We believe that by adopting circular economy principles, we can reduce waste, conserve resources, and create economic opportunities.
A circular economy is an alternative to a traditional linear economy (make, use, dispose) in which resources are kept in use for as long as possible, maximum value is extracted from them whilst in use, then materials are recovered and products are regenerated at the end of each life.
Bangladesh has been using circular principles for generations. As new business models and technologies emerge, the opportunities for agriculture, manufacturing and waste management can be harnessed to improve livelihoods and reduce poverty.
The vision of the WASTE and Circular Economy Advisers is to build a restorative economy that generates well-being and prosperity, inclusive of all its people, through new forms of economic production and consumption which maintain and regenerate its environmental resources.
Mission
Our mission as circular economy advisers is to accelerate the transition to a sustainable and circular economy by providing expert advice and guidance to businesses, governments, and organizations. We aim to promote resource efficiency, waste reduction, and the use of renewable and recycled materials to create a more resilient and regenerative economy.
Vision
Our vision is a world where waste is minimized, resources are used efficiently, and products are designed for reuse, repair, and recycling. We envision a circular economy where materials are kept in use for as long as possible, and the natural environment is protected and restored.
